Need Recommendations for New GPU | #NewSetup
Hey,
i would like to buy me a new gaming Setup within the next weeks and i have no clue about the actual hardware. Most of the time i am playing Path of Exile, but i like to have the possibility for games with even higher requirements. My alltime Budget for the whole new Setup is around ~1000-1300€ I would really appreciate some ideas for a GPU with a good value for money ratio. I am not in a hurry since my actual setup is still fine :) Yesterday i read some benchmark / rating websites and picked the following setup: Mainboard ~150€ ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS, Mainboard CPU ~290€ AMD Ryzen™ 7 3700X, Prozessor boxed RAM ~95€ G.Skill DIMM 32 GB DDR4-3200 Kit, Arbeitsspeicher F4-3200C16D-32GIS, Aegis GPU ??? PowerSupply ~120€ be quiet! STRAIGHT POWER11 CM 650 W, PC-Netzteil schwarz, 4x PCIe, Kabel-Management SSD ~75€ Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB, SSD PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.3, intern Thanks & Stay Healthy! With budget you have it looks like 3070 or 3080. You will need most probably 3x8pin for 3080, 2x8pin for 3070 from PSU.
Check out 3600 - 3733mhz ram. It works best for you CPU. 8. 10. AMD is going to show new CPU and 28. 10. new GPU. You will want more space sooner or later. I have 660p Intel 1TB. Its relatively cheap and has 5 years warranty - I play games and watch streams only though. Last edited by Rexeos#3429 on Sep 11, 2020, 6:27:14 AM

Hey,
Thanks for your reply, I will keep your ram advice in mind. Maybe I was inaccurate with my budget, it is for the whole setup. :) But I will for sure wait until the release of the 3XXX Series and see if it will be worth the price, next to the actual GPUs. It seems that the 3060 shouldn't be that expensive. |

If you're not in a hurry, I'd wait for the release of the AMD 4000 series chips and big navi graphics cards next month. The prices cf current gen parts will probably come down further, and the new stuff might be a better bang for buck value.
Also consider DDR4 3600 (or faster), as AMD benefits a lot from faster memory. And, it's not much more ATM. Looks like a good setup so far! Enjoy :) *Basically what Rexeos said above* |
