Console Gameplay Discussion - Does having more projectiles decrease dps in a barrage setup? - Forum

Socketing a lvl 21 power siphon over a level 20 power siphon decreases tooltip dps because of how barrage support works. The more projectiles you have the less attack speed you have. Also using my dying sun flask decreases the dps as well. So my questions is, does this reflect in actual gameplay? Am I losing dps by using a lvl 21 gem and a dying sun flask or is it just something weird going on with the tooltip?

Short answer, no. Tooltip dps is generally not even close to actual dps and should only be used as an idea.
