PoE is a game that revolves around bots.

I played Diablo 2 day one for like 7+ years I been around bots since the start. I never seen a game revolve more around bots though then PoE and they do nothing about them and don't talk about them.

All game drop rates for everything is based on bots and them farming 24/7. So you can play 10hrs a day which is allot of playtime and still these bots are farming twice as much as you. Game is so unrewarding and bots are the reason why.

All free to play games suffer from bots and hackers. Problem is PoE does nothing about the bots. There are more bots in PoE then human players.

So I moved to console for a few seasons to get away from the bots. Can't play on console because the drop rates reflect bots still but there are no bots on console so you only see what human players find and its not much. The time it takes on console to go from level 1 to farming end game content is more time then any full time job and just not worth it.

pleeease staaaph!

of course they're doing something about them.

you might have noticed the lower orb drop rates and crafting being moved behind a bot proof ingame captcha.

which is so good that even players fail doing it and ask for more bot friendly qol.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

Many of the public bot devs are already figuring out the new crafting. Bots don't just farm currency, they farm items and tracking pricing via poe ninja or the open api. You can view their public forums for many of the biggest bot devs, they don't exactly hide.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

This is like a kid, crying to its teacher "Jimmy is being mean". And if the teacher doesn't shame Jimmy in front of everyone to see, he's doing "nothing about it". This IS a free to play game. Bots WILL exist, sadly. There's nothing GGG can do about bot-users creating new accounts. Increasing the drop rates won't help either.

There is a few effective things they could do. Phone number account activation. IP ban. And stuff like that. But I can guarantee you that "solutions" like these, would create as much havoc as you are doing now.

But drop rates aren't based on bots. That's a tin foil hat theory. Drop rates are balanced around you playing a lot. Grinding a lot. Spending a lot of time. Like most F2P games.

Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

I'm pretty sure drops ARE based on bots, they take into consideration what has been farmed by bots when they nerf drop of something
If I dont reply to you - I dont give a flying duck about your opinion

If you dont reply to me - I dont care either because I dont come back to see who replied to me

...so there are no more Chaos drops right? Because that's what bots farm.

Oh no wait Chaos are dropping like usual.

Probably because chaos orbs are worthless?

What can you do with chaos orbs? reroll maps, add zana mods and pretend to roll items that dont have access to fossils or essences.

That is pretty much it.

That is probably why GGG hasnt ever priced anything of true value in chaos or divines.
I buy most of my gear with Chaos...
While GGG wont remove demand for currency bots we get only worse.
People want 6l and other shiny s that are locked by pointless/not fun grind.
I love the Bots, whenever I misprice an Item suddenly 3.5 million Bots whisper me to Inform me I underpriced it, best Service ever 10/10.

You are literally playing a game made by a company with GRIND in its name.

The game originally was a difficult grind fest for people that wanted the Diablo 2 feel without the dumbification other games we’re doing of making content easy and gear obtainable.

If you want something grind it out, or trade for it. And before you say something about “trade issues”, trade was made annoying on PURPOSE so you would actually chose the grind option sometimes.
