Arcanist Brand cannot be proc'd by Trigger a Socket Spell When You Use a Skill.

As mentioned in the title Arcanist Brand cannot be proc'd by Trigger a Socketed Spell When You Use a Skill. This also occurs when the gem is not linked to anything else. Is it an intended mechanic or a bug?

doesn't seem to indicate in any of the wording that this shouldn't work, seems like it has to be a bug.

Arcanist Brand is a trigger. Triggers can't be triggered.

So if I have Arcanist Brand + Bone Offering + Desecrate on a wand with the Trigger Socketed Spell mod, nothing triggers at all?

What does one do then, either NOT have the mod and manually cast the brand, OR having the mod but removing the brand?

Correct. Skill is disabled ("[Skill can't be used]"). Unsocket Arcanist Brand and the offering will trigger when near corpses when you use a skill, place Arcanist Brand + offering in non-triggered sockets and you can manually cast the brand.

Note that they operate slightly differently. The trigger mod is more automated but slower (cooldown on mine is about 4 seconds) and can only trigger one spell per skill use. The brand needs to be cast initially (one brand per triggered spell) then casts the triggerd spell much quicker. The changes to brands this league make the base brand duration very short.

The trigger mod is probably enough to trigger normal Bone Offering shenanigans effortlessly.
