General's Cry not working with swords, axes and unarmed.

Hi GGG,

I am attempting to play a General's Cry + Earthquake build on a marauder.
I seem to have no issue with summoning mirages while using a mace, scepter , or staff. I have tested this with several differents slam skills, including Tectonic Slam, Sunder, and Earthshatter, and it's all the same. However, if I switch to Axe, sword, 1-handed axe or sword, or to unarmed, I am unable to summon the mirages from the corpses.

I have stared at the General's Cry skill for for several minutes, several times. If there is something I am missing about why it is not working, I cannot see it. No matter how silly it may be, please let me know if it is my own fault.

You have Shockwave support in your General's Cry setup.

That limits the active skill to Maces, Scepters, and Staves.

By the way, Shockwave cannot support Triggered attacks, so there is no point in using it with General's Cry.

I knew it would be something silly. lol. Didn't even think of that.

Huh, so, despite the fact that I knew Shockwave was a triggered skill, when you mouse over the gem it says it still works with the slam skill despite being linked to General's Cry. On the other hand, Fist of War will display that it doesn't work once you put the General's Cry in link. After some visual testing, however, it does look like you are right that it doesn't proc. /sigh

In addition, I have found that Measured Fury does not give you an extra mirage despite the fact that the mirage counts as exerted.

I'm growing rather disillusioned with General's Cry. 😩
