Atlas Progression Help
I'm a SSF player who's only recently started to push properly in to Atlas. I'm sat at 12 watchstones and I'm now stuck and running out of yellow maps. I've had 2 red maps drop in all my time so far, one corrupted and I'm unsure of what's the best way to progress. I tried to follow this along without a guide in the initial stages and I think I may have bricked my atlas somewhat. I've included my last run setup and my citadel completion images below. If anyone can provide any insight in to getting this moving forward I'd much appreciate the help.
I haven't invested any time in to Delve or any other mechanics outside Harvest at this point but I've read it's possible, once it's setup to get some good results from this for map sustain? Ideally, I don't want to break SSF as I enjoy the challenge but if need be I have plenty of currency to just buy the maps I need to push me to 20 watchstones and get Sirus on to the board. Ok...at this point you need 3 stones in a citadel to spawn influence. That means you will also need mainly t10-12 maps.
Try to minimize the number of different tiers that can drop. For now, I would try 3 stones in each inner region and no stones in any outer region. Once you have influence in a inner region, keep three stones only in that region so any t10-12 maps that drop have to be from that region. If you get to where you have enough maps in the region to finish that progress track, you can also put 3 stones in the region you want to do next in order to start building that map pool. It looks like you've been running Zana's missions. Are you buying maps from her every time you do? She changes her inventory every time you spawn portals for her master mission. You should also run Metamorph and choose maps when they are an option, and run Blight encounters when you get them. Those can drop maps along with other content like Delve and Temple. Are you alching your maps - especially any t10 since you are trying to build up a pool of t10-12. Last edited by GreyLensman#5323 on Jun 23, 2020, 7:38:02 AM

" Moved to three stones on each internal area. Immediately dropped a map I hadn't completed and in an area I was wanting a Conqueror to spawn in. This seems like the best course to go through so thank you. I had trouble getting any higher tier maps to drop but it looks like I had just set up the atlas poorly and wasn't able to push drops where I wanted them. Will continue on and see how I fare to 16/20 stones. I've yet to have a map fragment/organ show up for metamorph but I'll keep an eye out for it. Zana I've been picking up all the higher tier maps/incomplete maps I can but she usually only has one or two 9/10's and then 5 and below. All maps above tier 10 are getting 20% and alc'd to push more map drops. I shall save my SSF switch and currency for another day! I'm going to try and move in to doing more Delve and Temple in the coming days as I suspect that'll help me 1, not burn out and 2, get more maps...eventually. Thank you, I shall push on and see where it takes me! |

Effective targeting of map tiers and regions through stone placement is definitely important for solid map sustain. Good luck!
