Need help with my starforge champ cyclone

I'm pretty sure the profiles set to public but if I need to link anything lmk! I'm mostly wondering what to upgrade next. I'm working on getting enchants on everything, switching to abyssus helm, tryin to craft gloves like I have now but with an open prefix for damage while leeching, looking for an impale watchers eye, and I don't know what to do after that


Double curse with assassin's mark is a long ways off, I'm gonna have to corrupt gloves until I get AM on hit or craft a double curse ring

This is on PS4, but I figure the same mechanics still apply so that's probably irrelevant :D

brinkmanship is an awful node for cyclone.

the notable gives +2 melee STRIKE range (cyclone is not a strike), so you're spending 3 passive points for a whopping 20% increased aoe.

taking those 3 points (and then 2 from cloth+chain), would allow you to get Soul of Steel. one of the strongest defensive nodes on the tree. the 5th point could be used on any of the life nodes you have access to.

Ahh thank you sir I read it as melee range for some reason! I had to leave one point by cloth and chain bc cold res was 74% 😭

No such thing as "melee range" at least not as a stat on gear/passives. It's all melee strike range.

Brinkmanship gives 36% increased AoE if you've stunned recently in addition to the 5% reduced area damage taken. It's a great cyclone node. (Perhaps not soul of steel good, but I'd personally rather cut damage than either)

Copy/paste from the cyclone gem description:
"8% increased Area of Effect per 1 additional Melee Strike Range"

I think that node used to be weapon range, I just didn't read it closely enough :P haven't made a cycloner since legion lol

I don't have stuns since I'm using dash so I specd out of it I guess.. might go back to leap slam

oh shit just saw your edit, that is a good node for cyclone :O

Still got 100% impale chance without the little three node cluster so I specd out of that and put it in brinkmanship, I'll upgrade gear and get 2 more points from the int node and the one by cloth and chain eventually

Thanks for the help guys, I just need to get enchantments, watchers eye, and gloves with phys/attack speed/life multimodded with leech damage and dual fire/cold res and craft a dual curse vulnerability/assassin's mark ring and I'm done I think

I'll respec that node by cloth and chain when i craft gloves

I would say brinkmanship isn't THAT bad, but I also fondly remember legion size cyclone.

Martial artistry is like 10-15% as a jewel and its pretty underwhelming, but the other factor is that you just aren't really devoting much to increasing that radius either way.

But yeah can definitely put the points elsewhere for bigger gains elsewhere.

I just got a new attack speed/crit/res/int jewel so I could respec two points on the tree 🤘

I get 36% aoe from brinkmanship without the 10% from stuns so it's not bad to use in place of carcass jack :D plus 20% damage and -5% damage taken from hits


Next on the upgrade list is a dual curse ring with assassin's mark and vulnerability, and whispers of doom on ammy!

And how are you gonna get a double curse ring? can't with double influence anymore. they take same mod group
