Kinetic bolt spellslinger assassin build help noob :)

Hello PoE community,

I am a new player on my first full play through(I do have a 56 divine ire build but I’m changing to this) wanting to try a kinetic bolt build. I cannot find many guides on the skill so I am turning to y’all for some pointers. I am hoping to build a tanky shadow assassin using kinetic bolt and spell slinger. Somewhat based off this elemental hit build. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2784902. Wondering if I could get some help and pointers as to how to convert the build to kinetic bolt play style with some at least decent boss killing singles target damage(maybe barrage support?). I understand it may not be the most optimal or meta build or whatever but this is what I’ve chosen and am trying to make the best of it for my first full play through. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I guess you are changing Wandslinger for Spellslinger

You can find a few Kinetic bolt builds on poe.ninja but all Assassins are glasscanon there.

You can use Kinetic blast builds too (Bolt just benefit from spell damage much more).
Barrage or Power Siphon + barrage skill are both very good singl target skills.

IN fact it´s possible to combine Wandslinger passive and Spellslinger gem on Kinetic bolt for some nice combination (spells and KB will profit from spell damage) but it´s some advanced build (not meant for beginners) but it´s up to you:)

I’m level 20 at the moment and I’ve just been following the build guide I linked but I’ve substituted elemental hit for kinetic bolt and I have that linked with ele focus, elemental dmg w attack, and volley. Then I’m also using power siphon. Do you think this will be ok? I was going to try to follow a similar gearing path as the linked build and get my health strength and dex from items and follow similar path on the tree and get my intelligence spell dmg and Crit there. Also under the gem leveling section he has spellslinger gem linked with elemental weakness. Tell me if this sounds reasonable. Also I will try searching Poe.ninja as you suggested. Ty for your time!

Oh one more thing I did check the same users KBlast/ power siphon build but he went the opposite way on the tree getting dex and chaos dmg so I didn’t look too much into that and he was using poison. But if you think what I posted above sticking with the top part of tree going int and spell dmg and Crit and a little health here and there is ok then I’ll stick with that.

You can use the tree for Ele hit wander (link above)

Just use different jewels and other passive than Snowforged.

You can try spell slinger + ele weakness for leveling (it will proc the curse while reserving some mana).

You will need a bit different gear though (not focused on fire damage only)

You can use some cool Cluster jewel later eventually too.

Thank you for your help! So far this is my most enjoyable character. I’m up to level 42 using kinetic bolt and spellslinger with wave of conviction and arc. No idea if it’s end game viable but I’m having a blast!! Ty again friend
