Colleagues are helping their businesses by helping their employees.
So just wanted to share some things a few colleagues of mine are doing to help their employees. As the USA opens up for business and we prepare for the next wave in fall/winter.
1. They extended 401k to lower management, including assistance managers. 2. 3% payroll raise for anyone not in management 3. Teamed up with insurance providers (out of pocket expense) to provide employees with free crisis counseling. 4. Managers that have been furloughed who sign a contract will get retroactive pay up to two months. Meaning if an employee missed two months of work they would receive the entire pay. 5. For employees working in states that the cost of living is higher will receive a geo. 6. Free PPE equipment and a nurse on weekends; on site. 7. Majority of positions approved to qualifying work from home. 8. Discounts on gas, groceries etc... partnering with major chains. 9. Free food when available at work 10. Social distancing at work, disinfecting stations through out the work environment. 11. Fever checking of all employees before entering work. Must provide official documentation from doctor that they have recovered or do not have Covid-19. Free testing at work site with on site nurse. "Another... Solwitch thread."
