Spectral spirits not gaining aoe tag from infernal legion

Spectral spirits gain aoe tag (making them supportable with inc aoe, conc) from melee splash but does not get a aoe tag from infernal legion.

This is most likely a oversight as most possible minions have a inherit aoe tag due to I presume minion instability support. For example SRS is able to be supported by inc aoe without actually having a aoe tag on the gem or a attack themselves which has aoe. Except the small aoe they have by doing a strike skill, but that is not changed by inc aoe.

Read mark's explanation on tags in poe, they don't mean/work like you think they do. It's a semantical thing that is commonly misunderstood.

Okey so it's wrong to say that a support gem adds a tag. However it is still the case that supporting spectral spirits with melee splash makes you able to support them with aoe support gems.

However all other minions in the game does not need melee splash on them to support them with aoe support gems.

So the problem might not be with tags but that spectral spirits just does not have the same properties as other minions.

Why would raging spirits be supported by aoe supports while not clearly have a aoe skill at all.

Either raging spirits should not be supported by aoe support gems without having melee splash linked (the same as spectral spirits), or spectral spirits should work the same as raging spirits and be supported by aoe support gems.
