poe overlay allowed?

like the title i whould like to know if the poe overlay is allowed or not because i need to price a quadtab of jewels and with poe trade macro take forever do that.

I hope it's ok to share this but I emailed support about this and this was the reply:

In general, we do not encourage the creation or use of third-party tools because they provide advantages for players that use them. I'm afraid, due to the dynamics of our policies, we're unable to guarantee if a tool is allowed or would remain allowed in the future.

I would recommend refraining from creating or using any programs that automates or does more than one action with a keystroke or mouse click as well as anything that interacts with the game client to provide an advantage over other players or provide information that isn't normally visible.

TL;DR
we will still ban you whenever we want, even if we said earlier that "X is allowed"

The point of the emailed response it just as it seems, while it might be OK now it dose not stop the creator adding something else that IS against the ToS and would result in bans.

As far as i know PoE overlay WAS ok to start, something changed that spammed the shit out of the API and they took action, not that the mod has been updated to prevent this spam it should be ok to use again BUT like stated, it dose not mean that a future update to the mod will not fall foul of the ToS.

As for the ToS, it pretty much covers any reason they might like to give for a ban, for the most part they are a buisness and they don't just randomly make shit up or hate on a player and ban them "just because"...far more hassle than it is worth (hence the "bans" for this mod not being actual bans but account locks telling the player to contact support)
