Second wind support?

Greetings,

I do not understand why I would link my flame dash or any movement skill with second wind considering that we are already short in sockets with most builds. Anyone can explain to me the logic behind it please?

Thank you

not everyone is starving for socket... on my most played build i could free up 4 or 10 gems if i had to for something better

also probably more a thing for 4.0 where youget massive gem "sockets" iwht like 7 possible 6l( dunno if i remember right )

I really doubt you'd use it on flame dash, its for the one use movement skills so they aren't quite as restrictive.

Tbh i expect it to be a bust anyway but its an interesting idea

It'll be great with Dash & Frostblink as those have limited usability. The support will be great in situations where a) you blink into a position you don't want to be in or b) it's the only movement skill you use and sometimes you need to cover greater ground in shorter time

It's optional, but it's good to have that option

I agree we won't use that with any 3 use movement skills such as Flame Dash just to get a 4th move and suffer a larger cool down time, that doesn't make sense. But with other 1 use movement skills, getting 2 in a row with 0 wait could be useful if you can find a free socket.

Well without seeing its effects how can you judge, it makes things like dash go further, which could be great.
Could be an early stopgap for flicker strike builds that don't use a guaranteed frenzy generation mechanic.

You would of course be giving up a damage link, but it helps the viability as a leveling skill a ton.

Gotta remember that second wind works with any cooldown skill not just movement skills.
Souls along a conduit of blood, from one vessel to the next.
Im more expecting people to link second wind with Molten Shell or Steelskin.

being able to use them twice in rapid succession could prevent a lot of deaths.

No, it increases the recovery speed, and reduces the overall cool-down time.

If anybody actually uses Vigilant Strike, this support could make a huge difference to how it works.
