"Evaluating valuable PoE mods on items" spreadsheet
I have put together a spreadsheet with a list of possible valuable mods on items. All values were taken straight from the official PoE Wiki are are mostly T1 or T2 mods:
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Modifiers#Modifier_lists This is simply a list to quickly evaluate loot. I have several quad "drop tabs" of rares, and other stuff, I have picked up while mapping and delving. A quick "cheatsheet" or list would make sorting these tabs MUCH quicker. This list is, by no means, an expert list. I realize there are other lists on the forums but all of the ones I could find seemed outdated by at least a year. I also realize much of this information could be off. Please let me know your expert opinions:) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cH1Kd5nQnXSjY6SFQ_bPVei8n_Hy6fje5OWdG7s48UI/edit?usp=drivesdk Last edited by AreYouSeriousClark#2271 on Feb 17, 2020, 9:56:54 PM Last bumped on Feb 19, 2020, 5:48:39 PM

as you become more familiar with the game and what mods people need, you will be able to evaluate most items at a glance, without this list.
it's a cute idea but too much wasted time for someone new, and not useful for someone experienced. Last edited by Thror2k5#7154 on Feb 17, 2020, 1:19:29 PM

Thanks, this cheat sheet is super helpful to me to learn what actually are top tier mods. I think Thror misses the point that sometime between "not mattering because you're new" and "already know it because you're an expert" people have to actually do the thing where they learn which mods are possible and which are valuable.
Btw, this may be a dumb question but when you are looking at rare gear how do you know which mods are prefix and which mods are suffix? Is there an easy way to make the distinction or is it just based on the idea that certain mods can only be prefix and others can only be suffix for a particular item? |

go into options, turn on advanced tooltips, hold alt when you look at item.
Resists - always suffix move speed, life, es, armor, evasion mods - almost always prefix % damage, flat damage, spell damage - almost always prefix attack speed, cast speed, crit chance, crit multi - suffix Last edited by Thror2k5#7154 on Feb 17, 2020, 8:02:33 PM

Nice spreadsheet! pretty much sums up all of the good mods. I would note that if you have a loot filter, particularly Filterblade's loot filter, it automatically lets you know which pieces have valuable mods on it (assuming it has already been identified) by highlighting the item green and putting a thunderbolt on it. Very useful if you're speedrunning and don't want to check the mods in detail.

" I would suggest becoming very familiar with: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Modifiers#Modifier_lists That is where I got all of the information included in the sheet. |

OMG this is super helpful, thank you! (especially the other tabs, not just the valuable mods)
