Question about 'Can have up to 3 crafted mods'

I bought a ring very similar to this:



I then removed the crafted mods and began crafting:



I went to add another Prefix and I'm getting 'Item has no space for more Crafted Mods'

My question is, how does the ring at the top have 2 Prefixes and 1 Suffix crafted from 'Can have up to 3 Crafted Mods'?

I understand 'Can have up to 3 Crafted Mods' counts as a Crafted Mod, but I keep seeing rings that have 'Can have up to 3 Crafted Mods' PLUS 3 additional Crafted Mods.

You're probably seeing hybrid crafted mods. Those count as 1 mod but will have 2 distinct lines of text. Both rings have the max number of crafted mods. You can either craft an Aspect into a free prefix or roll the dice with a slam.

you are probably seeing legacy items. before this league, the multimod had no limits on crafted modifiers (other than 3 prefix 3 suffix on an item). Then the mod changed but the previously crafted items stayed the same
