Auto-pickup ability and filter

Ability to enable and customize an auto-pickup filter to gather drop items. Which can easily be a part of current item filter. There are items that you don't care about, questionable items that you have to check out before picking up and items that you always picking up. This filter is supposed to help with the latter. Currency, all kinds of shards, splinters and other little thingies, maps, 6-slots, maybe uniques - everyone can make his own preferences.
It won't break the game in any way. It won't give players anything they didn't deserve. But it will make the gameplay more smooth and enjoyable. At least for me. If someone is enjoying picking up items by hand (which does feels kinda nice until a point) he can still do it. Nobody forces auto-pickup on anybody. It's an option. I was hoping and thinking the same thing. But it would break racing. Decisions have to be made about what to pick up and what not to.
My conclusion is the only thing that should be always auto, if selected in options, is portal scrolls. |

Man, it would be nice...but GGG loves pushing massive amounts of player interaction. It's the same reason we don't have auto-sorting in stashes, auto-banking (currency items all going to currency tab with a single clikc), and an auction house.
They loooooove making the players wear out their left click...so I doubt it would ever happen. But I guess we can hope :D |

GGG lowes wasting are time. Anything that adds extra minute in "played" counter would stay, no matter how dumb and annoying it is.
