What's the point of Rustic Sash?

I wonder how often this actually comes up... But yeah.

5% physical damage, as opposed to... a strength belt that gives more physical damage, some health, and inadvertently stat requirements for items.

Even the life belt variation will at least supply a lot more life than the strength gives.

So I mean... I guess a rustic sash will give ranged physical attackers more damage, while strength only helps melee damage... But I'd imagine that's what Iron Grip is for in the first place.

I dunno, seems like rustic sash is a clear underdog. Am I wrong?
Iron Will and Iron Grip make it mostly obsolete in favor of a Heavy Belt.
If IW didn't exist, you'd want a rustic sash for EK builds.
If IG didn't exist, you'd probably want it for phys ranged attackers.
Wow. I never used one before but I never realized how useless it was until I thought about the bonuses you get from strength.

It probably needs to be upped to 15-20% to make it worth grabbing over life or a stat boost
Actually, let me restate...

I'd say cloth belts or studded belts are the worst belts - but that's more opinion-based, per se. Whereas, a rustic sash does literally the same thing as a heavy belt, but to a much lesser degree as well as less overall things.

Strength applies a bonus only to melee physical damage. Not every bow or wand cahracter wants to treck across the tree to get iron grip. Not every EK character will want to use the Iron Will support. The belt has a niche.
I am a physical ranger using rain of arrows.

This belt is amazing:

Rustic Sash is the worst, sure. There isn't even a unique for it.

That's the excuse? It's a niche?. Not even a choice between them like you have for Life and HP.

Why settle with "it's a niche" , in my opinion that's a weak answer. It could be improved so you have a choice between all around (str) , life , or dmg. But no, niche is the way.

But...

... I dunno.

Spoiler

It's basically on the way to the Duelist bow nodes you're probably going to get anyway.

I'd wager a large majority of knowledgeable bow Rangers get Iron Grip because of its power, and convenience in node pathing.

Granted, I know there's plenty of things more worth the time of GGG to look at.

But, really, I can't agree with your reason that you gave. Sorry :/
Maybe there'd be a point to it if it was 5% more damage.
