Note: Skill such as Tornado Shot account for only one arrow at a time. To factor in the +1 arrow, take your new amount of projectiles divided by your current number of projectiles. For example, 9/8 = 12.5% more damage.

I have changed "Socketed Skills Deal 20% more Attack Damage" to "20% more Attack Damage" for your convenience. Remember that this modifier only affects socketed skills.



Why is this bow so strong?

For a standard bow build that does not stack dexterity, you have roughly 400 dexterity with a brutal restraint. With the modifier "Adds 3 to 5 Cold Damage to Attacks with this Weapon per 10 dexterity" that averages out to 160 flat cold damage, which is as strong as a T1 Cold Damage roll on your weapon. On my pure dex stacking build with nearly 1800 dexterity, this adds 720 flat cold damage to my build. This modifier was so strong GGG made it a legacy mod. And being that this is on a synthesis weapon, this means that +1 arrow and 3-5 cold damage per 10 dexterity are two bonus modifiers.

But isn't 20% Double Damage really strong?

Yes, however, shown in the PoB's above, 2 free modifiers absolutely destroy that Shaped Modifier. Think about it, 19% local attack speed vs 12% local attack speed on a thicket bow is 10.5% more attack speed. On top of that, you get a free legacy delve modifier which penetrates 20% elemental resistances. And that's not even including the free +1 arrow. Speaking of which, Dire Strike would be stronger than even the best mirror tier shaper bow if it were corrupted to fire an additional arrow. This bow cannot be beaten for any elemental stacking builds.
