Frostblink and Faster Casting

Hi, i've been out of the game for a while so bear with my noob question.

I'm trying to find what to link with frostblink, now, since i last played the tooltip that shows you which supports work with which spells has been implemented, the tooltip shows that fastercasting does indeed have an effect over frostblink (or at least it has a green tick etc and the blue f when i link the gems)

The thing is, i can't see that it actually has any effect, it doesn't seem to change any stat, cooldown, movement speed or dmg etc. The cast time is instant so why are these gems showing as compatible?

Something i'm missing?

Faster Casting won't have an effect on spells with instant cast time. 0/1.5 still is 0. It doesn't do anything else, so in this case effectively does nothing.

EDIT: It seems there may be a bug with Frostblink where it's cast time is not instant as stated, which may be the reason why it is being supported with Faster Casting.

Thanks, i had wondered about if it was actually instant, sometimes i felt like it was and other times i felt surely like it had some delay after pressing the button.

I guess i'll wait for a patch, why anyone would use frostblink over dash as it has the 3 resets i'm not sure either, frost defo felt like it needed at least 2 charges.

They wouldn't. It exists to give an early level movement skill. It is obsolete when you can comfortably cast Flame Dash (or your skill of choice).
