Herald of Blood

It's cool that we got a herald for poison, which has proven very effective for poison builds. Maybe blood can get similar love and get their own herald.
I was thinking a herald of blood could cause globules of blood to shred from a enemy after they reach a threshold of bleeding damage. My initial thought was these globules could heal us but honestly there is too many avenues of healing right now. Explosions on the other hand we could always use more explosions. So maybe these globules could explode inflicting damage and providing a more damage for bleeding effects done to those impacted for a short duration. OR the globules could seek out the player, and when enough globules are collected it could enhance the players abilities and stats for a temporary time. Could increase their movement, attack speed, and bleeding damage. Making the skill sort of vampire thematic. Last bumped on Dec 6, 2019, 6:24:04 AM

yes, good idea.
there is only one thing you should know:bleeding damage is linked to physical dmg. when you can deal enough physical dmg, bleeding dmg is garbage. the paradox is quite common in poe. something like this needs all-around rework. considering the situation, i don't think they are going to give dot a little love. i'd like to see some wonderful changes(mechanics) in poe2. This account is only for feedback and suggestions.

" This is especially true when almost every "ailment" damage is on regular phys attack dmg node. And there is mediocre to none itemization support to sway the dmg scaling towards bleed. Many have tried, there are some working bleed builds, but at the same budget, usually the same skill used, when going full hit it is more efficient. Herald which would apply or scale actively Bleeding would be very nice. Herald of Purity is useful, but not thematically targeted to bleed. There is a room to add new Herald. Altho it is questionably how it would combat with Pride which scales bleed as well. I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me. 3.13 was the golden age. |

Bleeding has just barely gotten support recently
In the 3.7 Reworks and with the introduction of Legion Jewels they have added a ton of support for bleeding There are plenty of builds that are able to get a ton of bleeding damage In 3.7 every cyclone build was impale/bleed and more than 40% of the player base was playing cyclone... If your goal is to scale bleed then you're looking at curses like Vulnerability and scaling base physical damage etc https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Bleed There is also the https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Blood_and_Sand Blood Stance / Sand Stance A blood herald or aura seems unnecessary I think what you really want is more Unique interactions with bleeding and bleed mechanics as well as bleed scaling A herald is just 1 of many ways to start making bleed more powerful etc Alot of people who do bleeding usually play Gladiator and use it as a secondary mechanic for clear speed If you want to plan a build specifically around Bleeding DPS You have many options to make it work You dont need 10 mill shaper DPS to say a build is viable or good etc For some people bleed is a build they would never touch because its not top tier For others, they will play whatever build they want and they dont care about clear speed or build power.
