Long time player BANNED for multi-boxing

I've been in contact with GGG for many weeks now I thought I'd try my luck here.

At the end of the day: Yes you can get banned for MULTI-BOXING.

Here's my appeal which wont be heard through emails, facebook any other media. So as a last ditch effort here it goes.

"

I'm here to contest the ban on the account: [Hidden].

I am aware of the Terms Of Use, as it has been 2 weeks of me lamenting the issue.

Restrictions: Under no circumstances, without the prior written approval of Grinding Gear Games, may you: Utilise any automated software or 'bots' in relation to your access or use of the Website, Materials or Services.

I will discuss the reasons why I believe there needs to be reconsideration.

Firstly, the clause itself is somewhat open for interpretation. Therefore as there is inherent ambiguity sewn into the statement there will be times where reasonable judgement must take precedence over algorithms which blanket-ban accounts. Without having to go into a philosophical debate over the determination of what is automated or not, at the end of the day most games allow the broadcasting of the mouse through multiple windows and this has left with me with a severe false sense of security.

Secondly, the time that the accounts in question were played for illustrate not only is your own process automated, worked out algorithmically, but also shows a complete lack of reasoning in the final determination.

[Removed by Support]

All these accounts have one thing in common:
Joined: Dec 30, 2018
Last Visited: Dec 30, 2018

In addition none of these characters have surpassed level 2. This was not an endeavour of mine to ruin a game, but to open a new challenge for myself as I have done through other games when I find myself exhausted at times with content. To addition, the accounts that are in question are not associated with the main account. That is the account I have spend 99.999% of my time and finance.

Finally, No malice or negative intent was made. Why is there not a reasonable conclusion to this?

You are allowed to run 2 PoE client on your PC but not by using any kind of virtuelisation like VMWare workstation.
You are NOT alllowed to use any kind of automation like kontrolling both clients at the same time.
This has been clearly stated by GGG several times.

You broke the rules and got banned. Nothing will change that since they have already confirmed this to you.

So if you want to play PoE you have to make a new account and start from there unless they have stated that you are no longer allowed to use any of GGG software.....
I’m not sure where you think your rights got violated. GGG owns 100% of everything. They own “your” account. They said do not do xyz, and you did xyz. The ambiguity isn’t designed to leave you ignorant but to prevent loop holes. Next time you want to test violations of the ToS, do it on separate accounts. You used their property in a manner they do not authorize; testing or cheating, it’s not authorized, and you got banned for it.
And coming to the forums isn't going to help either. GGG does not handle account related issues via the forums.

Yea they do it via an archaic system of emailing back and forward. And once they think they have had enough to talk to you about they begin to just ignore all correspondence.

Keep in mind also every comment they send seems like they have cut and copied of a list of 10 things to say to deflect their totalitarian response.

As this account has been permanently closed, we will be unable to restore access to it. I'm sorry if this was not the outcome you were hoping for.

I'm afraid as previously stated, this account has been permanently closed, this will not be reviewed further.

The account in question has been permanently closed and we will not be making any changes to this account.

Is this the process to get unbanned? That's what you can expect.

Don't give me contrived arguments that GGG owns everything, we as the consumers have just as much as a say as the Chinese suited men sitting on a table in the Tencent seafront towers in Shenzhen.
Apparently you are ignorant of how a business is run. Your argument is akin to walking into Walmart and saying it’s public property.
Doesn't matter what you think. Doesn't matter what I think. You broke the rules and got banned. The only thing you are doing is whining at this point. This is GGG's game and they have made their decision.

Tough shit. Move on, you aren't getting that account back.

When this company runs of the back of supporter packs and the community its very different to just walking into a walmart. You legit sound like a shill for hire trying to justify their bullshit. I've spend 360 USD supporting this game, my game.

I'm happy to just be able to share and expose the back end of how this company operates. I'll be happy if I can just make one or two people think before seriously supporting this game in the future.

Almost 400 USD supported. And what I got to reconcile this was a chat bot disguised as a support team with no meaningful or genuine attempt to help me.

Already explained the ToU was ambiguous, this was a genuine misunderstanding that shouldn't have an account banned permanently for.

Mind Boggling.
we already know how the back end works, you cheated, you got banned, you appealed and got denied because you cheated.
this has went through detection, banning, reviewing and enforcing.

what YOU are trying to do is make a public show in the attempt to get the accounts back, not going to happen, no matter how unjustified you seem to think it is and no amount of posting about your woes is going to get them back.

But he gave the company money, so he should be allowed to brake the rules..... Right...... :)
