Fire vs Lightning

Hi there

I made myself a witch and wanted to go either fire or lightning so i wanted to hear i any1 has any experience running as lightning witch ? or fire witch ? and which skills to use? how durable they are ? can they solo maps late game ?

Not too sure about end game but i have played a light witch up until A3 cruel and i have loved it, very fun to play and im also thinking of leveling a fire witch as well. Only down side to any witch is around levels 35ish to 50 is when you hit a "wall" but after that is when they start to get really good. try and find a good guide to follow or at least give you idea's and go from there.

what was youre main dmg skill ? and you did well ?

You are talking in generalizations too much if you ask me. There is no "a lightning/fire witch". It could be a summoner hybrid, a dual totem char, a glass cannon, a tanky caster - you name it.

Start by being more specific.

Of course there are viable fire based witch builds. As well as there are viable lightning based ones. Lots of different ones.

I wasnt looking for a fire/lightning build just wanted to hear diffenrence between em and how they work out survival. cause i was planning on going lightning but i only see 1 decent skill gem and thats ARC just need some advice

Survival is mainly base on your gears and defensive passive. Lighting with shock can deal a crap load of damage. Unfortunately there aren't many good lighting spells. Lighting shine when use with weapons due to static blows passive.

I'll go with fire and link add lighting damage gem to the fire spell. Take Static blows and the two nodes behind it.

arc is considered kinda UP (i think its great, but most people would chose another spell as main damage ability) usually lighting witches use spark+fork.

as far as differences go:
lighting has a much better status ailment than fire imo.
fire has more "niche" spells
both are viable
neither has anything to do with survivability
