Any reason to support game on console?

I spent a lot on games, usually 1000euro+ per year(for games and gaming equipment) but I don't feel like to support this game and i don't do from like 1.5year.

- no chat
- no upgrades to trade board ( auto buyout, sorting, better search)
- no party search, so what is point to buy skins if you can't even show it to players
- fps on Xbox X is far far away from good
- fps drops etc make you often easy to die, which ends in lost 10% xp, no point to play after 92-93 for me, since im stuck on 0% exp

It doesn't even look like they are trying to fix problems above and convince players like me to buy mtx.

I can tell you, my opinion. After the recent events its became apparent to me that GGG is not worth supporting. If you check their announcements sub forum you'll see overpriced, reskinned, low quality mtx priced insanely high.

The xbox game is hurting fairly bad. We don't get updates till way later. We had our league launch delayed two leagues in a row. We aren't getting social features like we've been promised.

I supported xbox for a year and a half and rather than releasing new features on xbox they developed a PS4 port with more social features than the xbox.

There has been no effort to help the trade market, the trade market is being destroyed by the low playerbase. Low playerbase is caused by GGG lack of priority to optimization.

If you look in the bug console sub forum, you'll see hundreds of acknowledgements from GGG that say, "yes its a known bug", or "can you recreate it?" If the bugs are so well known, why arent they fixed. If we need to recreate it, why havn't you bug tested any of this.

GGG releases leagues in beta, we beta test and they profit.

I will not buy another mtx item until I see some backbone from GGG. They need to send tencent the message that they won't sell out and ruin their game for quantity over quality.

That said, there's lots of us that play together in parties all the time and it makes the game enjoyable not having to ALWAYS interact with a desolate trade market. Leveling in the xbox version is always rough but its doable. Games still somewhat fun, just gotta ignore the fact that its going to shit.

ps. I've been posting about guilds for like two years now. I guess I feel entitled because I did support the game. I have a couple friends that have put a couple thousand into this game as well and GGG won't support us back so yea man, don't even try. Strongly discourage supporting them anymore. I used to tell people too all the time.

What more social features does PS4 have? And Tencent has nothing to do with GGG sticking to the same update schedule they've always had.

Edit: Post vanished.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

Good points and good responses in the thread. I'll play "Devil's Advocate." :)

There really aren't many other isometric, lootfest, "decent," ARPGs out there..

Diablo III, Torchlight series (Maybe?), something else? Should we support it because there are few other choices? (dunno, honest question)

Path of Exile is a decent game, when it works and the League doesn't suck. And, it's free, for whatever that's "worth." :) Plus, at least GGG isn't supporting a Pay-to-Win scheme past the one purchased stashtab barrier to selling in the Marketplace.

That being said...

I can't really see any strong votes in favor or against PoE in terms of whether or not someone should buy something from their in-game store. Yes, perhaps, if you like the game and see an MTX you'd like? No, if you don't like the game?

But, I do want to say one thing on that issue:

"Supporting" GGG by buying MTX from them = Paying Money

If you don't like the game, don't buy any MTX. Simple. Easy. If you like the MTX, consider buying it. If you somehow feel that you should give them some money because you feel it's worth it, go ahead and buy a "Supporter" pack.

But, there's no reason to keep giving them money if are not pleased with the gameplay and services they are providing. I'm of the mind that after having paid for several supporter packs, I've done my bit and don't feel any pressure to keep purchasing anything. (Especially this League.) IF there's a nice looking MTX and I think they've done a decent job with a League, then I might buy it. Or not.

I am playing console games for a very long time now and i cant remember playing such an unstable game on a console system ever.

In its current poor state i think one should not recommend to support poe until its completely fixed and made fit again for console.

The game can certainly be more than decent, without that much lags, crashes and without being worried that you hurt your console by starting it.
(as i mentioned in another post the console seems to work unusually hard to run poe right now)

Currency tabs are hilariously pay-to-win.

But if you mean a reason that'll give you warm fuzzies, I got nothing.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
What is Pay2Win concerning Currency Tabs?
Anyways... If people wants to buy a Supporter Pack or 2... well, then they do. If not, they don´t. If you like some of the MTX and the game as well, then why not? Makes you look good.

If you don´t like the MTX, the game or Supporter Packs, then you don´t bother to play the game either. Not hard.
