Machina Mitts with Ghost Reaver

I have Ghost Reaver on my skill tree and I have Machina Mitts equiped which are supposed to give 1% of mine damage leeched as life. With Ghost Reaver that 1% of life leech is supposed to be coverted into Energy Shield leech. I have been in many close call situation where there were still mobs around me and i attacked with my mines and my energy shield did not leech at all.

Can some other people please help me test this because i might have to look for another form of sustain instead of these gloves if this is trully bugged and doesn't work.

Me neither.
I'm trying to use Machina with Vaal Pact.
However, sometimes mines just can't leech at all.
And other time, they leech instantly.
This really confused me.

I think its mechanic is totally buggy.

The gloves work fine with Vaal Pact or Ghost Reaver for me. 1% leech isn't a crazy amount, and the gloves also have reduced ES and Life recovered unless you've got 4-6 power charges up, which reduces your leech.

One other thing I can think of that you might be experiencing is there are quite a lot of sources that reduce your ability to leech or remove it altogether. There are Cannot be Leeched from mods that can roll on some monsters. There are map mods which prevent leech, or just reduce life and ES recovery which makes leech much worse.
