GGG - PS4 Patch broke the game
Since GGG released a patch yesterday, the game has become unstable to the point of unplayable. No matter what activity you are doing, the game WILL crash unexpectedly (even just standing around in hideout has led to a sudden crash). It has made character advancement in endgame almost impossible as you will lose maps, sulphite, and other advancement items due to the crashes. Some are even reporting exp loses when crashing as well.
I know console is generally just seen as additional revenue with bare minimum support, but this is just absolutely ridiculous now and makes me regret ever supporting this game. No other game on PS4 crashes as much as this one. Last bumped on Jun 29, 2019, 12:52:49 PM

Still waiting on an update or even an acknowledgement that a fix is in the works.

Odd, I didn't experience a single crash yesterday. I played for abour 4½ hours, doing maps, delves, temples and even Atziri. I went from T1 to T7 maps, so multiple densities and modifiers.
Where did you experience the crashes? Was it when you were loading an area, when encounters began, or something completely different? |

I crashed pressing the touch pad.
I crashed in everyone one of the 3 T1 maps I tried yesterday. |

Myself and I'm assuming many others are experiencing crashes in maps, delves, incursions, legion monoliths, breaches and other high mob density activities.
Before it use to lag out and frame rate would drop, but you could still play. Now it immediately crashes to the blue error screen. Have tried California and Texas servers (located in AZ). If you aren't experiencing these issues, consider yourself very fortunate. |

Id say I had similar or slightly less crashes/hr based on my 6-7hrs played after work yesterday on the new patch.
It is either a og/slim ps4 model issue (I have a pro), individual PS4, or regional based issue (i'm on the D.C. server). People really need to include way more info in a post like this if they want any attention from devs. Without PS4 model, OS version (not all update till your forced too) and more details on what you did before/around the crashes you may as well not even make a post |

Counter point, your post is entirely irrelevant if GGG doesn't even acknowledge there is a problem.
I'm sure the community would have no problem giving them system specs if they asked for it...but that would actually require GGG to actively engage with the console community. Just look at the forum thread on the Playstation Patch Notes, there's quite a few people with similar experiences and I'm going to guess that the large majority of PS4 players aren't registered on these forums. |

It is as if the updates on the console versions of Path of Exile don't get tested enough. They should probably get private test servers so that more bugs can be fixed since certain bugs may happen due to the netcode.
