Titan Quest has a new "expansion", are you kidding me?
Why? They didn't even bother to release the full changelog. Using a 10 years old game as a cash grab?

Saw that on Steam too. Crazy. Don't get me wrong, loved TQ back in the day, still own it w/EP, but come on now.
Censored.

When its a buggy mess designed specifically for people who buy it without a second thought because of muh nostalgia then yes, it is. For reference - check how good their previous expansion was.

" It wasn't amazing, but it was also very far from being bad. It was also a really long ways from being nothing more than a "cash grab". It was, for the most part, just more Titan Quest. What more can anyone really ask for for a 12+ yr old singleplayer-centric game that never had a massive following to begin with? I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

What more? How about a sequel? If they care so much they'd be firing up a kickstarter and making a new game. I like Titan Quest as much as anyone else(or liked) but this is pathetic.

" Grim Dawn is the closest thing to a Titan Quest sequel that we are ever likely to see. I'm not going to hold your hand through explaining why. That's what google and using your brain are for. Thanks, chap, I had no idea the game existed. You can ask the sheep who keep creaming themselves over the buggy mess of the TQ "expansions" why they are not playing Grim Dawn too. How it works for them but it somehow doesn't for me.

" Ragnarok was a fine expansion though. The content itself was ok enough, and I didn't encounter much in the way of bugs. Not any more than can reasonably be expected, anyway. And the game has been being updated semi-regularly with QoL features added. Looks like Atlantis is also doing more where QoL is concerned. I'll wait a few months when it's got a good discount, like I did with Ragnarok, but it's not like the expansions are being sold at top-tier prices to begin with. The fact that the game is getting any official updates or expansions at all is pretty impressive, considering the circumstances around it. There's nothing wrong with enjoying both the old Titan Quest and the new Grim Dawn... I'd really like to see THQ Nordic do something more with the Kingdoms of Amalur IP that they acquired, but the rights for that one are even more complicated than their rights to Titan Quest because of EA's involvement. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

What pisses me off is how they spent the time and resources to do a game overhaul(anniversary edition), and 2 expansions. This expansion in particular seems to be 3 hours long(haven't bought it, probably never will so I checked the forums instead) yet it is the same price as a DLC for a modern game.
See, these are the 2 things. 1. If they used a kickstarter for Titan Quest 2 instead of going for anniversary edition + 2 x-pacs by now they'd probably have the game out at least as an early access version. Plenty fish in the sea who'll happily support the project. Instead it seems like they are doing minimum work for maximum reward. I didn't even see an auto pickup option in the game but hey, endless dungeon because they saw it is successful. 2. Why so expensive? It is an old game, Grim Dawn is out there and while I don't see it as a sequel it is much more solid overall. An expansion for grim dawn costs 15, this cost what.....oh right, 15 too. This should not be the case yet people are happily buying it which feeds into my first point, a sequel would have been well received. Honestly - a cash grab.
