Multiple flasks must be able to be bound to a single button!
Please allow us to bind as many flasks as we want to one button. The current state of flasks on console makes them impossible to use effectively. In order to get all the flasks up at the same time, it requires us to take our finger off the left stick and stop moving. I'm playing a CI build on hardcore and I need to use every flask at the same time whenever they go down. To stop my movement to re-flask is extremely dangerous and very frustrating in end-game content. On PC when I play these builds I just have 5 fingers on all of the flask binds and press them all at the same time. If I could just press L1 and activate any number of potions I want at the same time the console version would be perfect.
Also other players I am fully aware that I can change the PS4 button layout. I already tried this with multiple setups and it did not work for me, it only made things worse and made the interface impossible to use having to remember how to backtrack the rebinds. Check the video that Karvarousku made:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKdqs2o4n1E You can remap your buttons (sadly not ingame) so that the game becomes playable when it comes to flasking. It is a work around, but I have to say it does work. The one button flask will not happen, it is asked a lot also for PC and is against GGG's vision/rules. If they do decide to do it for console I am all for it! |

" The "macros are against the rules" argument is vastly superceded by the fact you can't functionally use more than two flasks on the console (PS4) as it stands and the game is fundamentally balanced around using 5. Even having one of the two accessible potion buttons be able to cycle thru flasks would be better than this. Last edited by ladish#6213 on Apr 1, 2019, 3:11:49 PM

The best workaround I have found is to rebind dpad left/right to L3/R3. If you do not need to remain stationary when casting you can rebind dpad up to L2. This gives you full access to your potions while remaining mobile.

" GGG is not against the use of macros as Chris Wilson even states in an interview with Ziz when asked about logout macros. Every streamer is publicly using logout macros. GGG made sure that instant logouts were available on the consoles too, so I don't see why they can't let us have a one button multiple flasks function. Also it's not like it's hard to press all the flasks at once with PC, you don't need a macro. Also rebinding the left and right d-pad to L3 and R3 will force me to use the right stick and take my thumb off of the ability buttons which will not work since I'm spamming my abilities just as much as I'm trying to stay mobile. |

I'm fairly sure that GGG is against an All Flasks macro (macros are acceptable if they perform a single action as I understand it - and each Flask counts as an action). That does not change the validity of your comments but it does affect the likelihood of us getting an All Flasks button. The cycle idea may have a chance.
I now comment in Forums with my Xbox account:

This is easily the stupidest part of playing this game. I'm forced to mash 4 different buttons at the same time every 5 seconds which actually wears out my hand after a while because of what? The developers pride? I'm fortunate enough to be run a channeling build so I stop moving every 5 seconds anyways and I can only imagine the frustration that mobile builds have. Using a controller is not keyboard and mouse and forcing console players to suffer from a developers twisted sense of gaming-purity only hurts this other wise amazing product. PLEASE FIX!

" Sadly this is a shining example of a developer's vision going against actual gameplay. If GGG leaves consoles without the means to play the game at the same level as PC what will happen is that the best builds will use 4 active skills, remap all potions to the bumpers and triggers, and have the left analog input for a 5th potion and use the dpad as a skill swap for buffs. In a game with limitless builds, consoles will be forced into a very specific build condition. PoE is still a great game but GGG needs to understand its shortcomings and releasing the game on consoles is forcing the potion issue to be addressed. Porting the game to another platform without taking into account its specifics is so stupid and not professional. It is as Bently or Astin Martin export cars with right-hand drive only coz there is a right-hand traffic in England. As here said - gamepad != (keyboard + mouse). And if they don't understand this.... idk... They are or an idiots or robots that just follow instructions but not people who can THINK.
