Blood Altar craft button is always greyed out even with a good recipe in it

I was able to do one crafting recipe in the Blood Altar. But I died and did not receive the item. Now, even though I have 9 available recipes for crafting, it will not allow me to craft any of them. I place the required monsters in the four boxes and no matter which of the 9 recipes that I attempt to craft, the craft button is always inactive (greyed out). I have 3 unique item recipes available and 6 Flask Mod recipes and I cannot craft any of them. What has happened?

Well I followed the instructions I found on uploading the image but it didnt seem to work. So I pasted the direct link to google photos with the image. Hopefully you can just cut and paste it. I have restarted the game a number of times. I found more creatures with Einar which gave me another unique crafting recipe, but I still can't craft anything.
