The State of Xbox and Patch 3.6.1
EDIT: We're targeting another follow up patch to release on Monday, March 18th with further memory fixes to address ongoing memory crashes that are affecting users. Thanks for your patience.
EDIT2: We were targeting Monday afternoon in North America for a 3.6.1 follow up, but have had to move it to Tuesday. The issue has been worked on all weekend and testing of the changes so far look promising. On Monday we released patch 3.6.0 on Xbox, which many users have been experiencing performance problems with. We’ve been aggressively working towards resolving the issues and believe to have come up with a solution. In patch 3.6.1 the following change will be occurring:
What about Betrayal content being re-enabled? We’ve been addressing Betrayal concerns throughout the week alongside our performance changes, and have one issue which remains. As such, Betrayal will remain disabled in Xbox patch 3.6.1 but we expect to have it re-enabled in a patch to follow late next week. When can players expect patch 3.6.1 to go live? EDIT: This patch is now live. We’ve tested the above changes and are continuing to work on this further, as there are still ongoing memory concerns. We believe this build to be in an improvement over what’s currently live and will deploy this as soon as we’ve gotten the build through certification. We’re deeply sorry about the current state of the live version. We understand how frustrating it’s been for some users and we thank you for your patience while we resolve these matters. " Did you tested the timeout counter during the loading screen and adjust the timer? As I started playing PoE on Xbox (2 or 3 seasons before), I've installed it on my external HDD and the loading time of the areas were hilarious! Also, if the loading time was too long, I just got disconnected from the servers. This happened extremely often before I copied PoE into my internal drive. So if the loading time is much longer and people are playing with HDDs (external or internal), this could lead into another problem. I dont know if that's the case or even possible, but I dont think this disconnects would help us player. (its always better to ask before something happens) |

"We've adjusted the point where the client actually enters the area, so this shouldn't be an issue. | |
" Will those of us using an SSD notice significant load time increases? |
|
" So does this mean that the loading times in the transition from one area to another will be longer but the actual area will be more stable? |
|
Yessss thanks guys

Cant wait! Waiting so I can start the league!

" Only played PoE on X1X. But after upgrading to an external SSD there was a large improvement. Most load screens take about 1/3 of the time for me. How this will impact older consoles I'm not sure, but it should still be faster. Xbox Gamertag - Corrison

I'm glad the issue is being fixed but man even longer load times is gonna suck. Guess I need to upgrade to a SSD.

" Same for me, I thought my load times were fine on the X1X but then I got a external SSD and it is much quicker. THough since that was this league I was initially worried something was wrong with my install with all the weird texture issues we were having. |
