Yes, you can. In fact, I have been running a Facebreaker character using a shield for some time now. But do not forget, you cannot use Shield Charge. That ability requires a weapon.

thanks. Im buying then
lol sorry for more favor. can you post your build and skill setup?
No Prob. The website's passive skill tree calculator will not give me the option to generate the URL to link it for whatever silly reason, but I can explain it easily. I was running a Templar using Infernal Blow as my main attack with Fire Trap and Molten Shell to help when I needed some AOE. Later, I got the Flammability curse to help with fire resistant enemies.

In the skill tree, I started with the health nodes in the Templar starting area, and then moved to Resolute Technique and down to Unwavering Stance. Then i grabbed all of the increased elemental damage passives and added fire damage passives. I am currently moving to get the added fire damage passives to the upper right from the Templar starting area. I also took a lot of the shield block passives in the Templar area for needed defense.

I have not reset my skill tree since it was all refunded because of the recent patch. I took the Berserking passive near Unwavering stance, and I think I will grab it again, but it will take me 3 more points to get to it now.

Edit - Make sure not to grab any increased elemental damage with weapons passives. You are not using a weapon, so they will do nothing.

Firefox. I guess I need to update it, but I'm at work and don't feel like doing it at the moment.
Thx Pyro.
I was actually thinking of shadow and doing physical.
tried search for unarmed build but not many coming out.
I'm sure there are some other variation of build (I just hope going physical is feasible lol)

I have thought about trying a Shadow Facebreaker, but just never got around to it yet. The only way I could see a physical damage Facebreaker working would be to run Frenzy with at least 5 frenzy charges and increased crit chance. But it will still be tough, especially considering unarmed has only a 5% base crit chance.

Unarmed has 0% base crit, which gets rounded up to 5%. You can't improve that crit chance except through Critical Weakness curse.
