[3.5] 6x Bladefall Totem Hierophant Ancestral Bond AND EO| INSANE BOSS DPS | Decent Map Clear Speed
This is my first build guide so it probably will be a little rough around the edges, but this is my first 'successful' build I've made that deviates from anything I've seen on the fora around here. This is a relatively cheap build with an entry cost of essentially nothing but hugely benefitting from two shades of solaris (~1.7ex for both) and obviously six-link Soul Mantle, etc.
Build Explanation
Spoiler
We build around Bladefall's physical spell damage trait. Bladefall is unique in that it is a spell but deals physical damage, only matched by other spells like Ethereal Knives and Blade Vortex. This allows us to scale phys damage on gear to get extra spell damage. Also central to the build is getting as much conversion as possible to various elements and scaling on any of those elements. Conversion is explained in a later section. We also build around Elemental Overload and Shade of Solaris with self-cast stormbrand. This is a technique I have not seen utilized with totem builds to proc EO or get the unique buff from Shade of Solaris so I will explain that later as well.

Nice to have Interactions We use Soul Mantle for +1 totems, extra dps from curses, extra totem life, and most importantly getting a level 20 spell totem support so we can have an extra gem in our six (now seven) link. Kikazarus are meant to mitigate the crazy amount of level 20 curses which are now mostly always active on you. Shade of Solaris is an amazing DPS boost and where we get the bulk of our bossing dps. 400% increased spell damage is insane and we can have that at 100% uptime while only having 5% of our bladefall spells crit which makes it where effectively we have 95% bladefall hit chance due to the negative unique mod "Critical Strikes deal no damage". Self-flagellation jewel is pretty self-explanatory, we use it to be synergistic with Soul Mantle's curses. Shade of Solaris & Totem Critical Strikes & Shade of Solaris

As you will see in the PoB link with passive tree, we take the Ancestral Bond keystone passive which does not allow us to deal damage. This, in combination with the fact that Elemental Overload does not count if your totems crit make it seem that EO & Shade of Solaris are not viable options, given that they both require that you crit, not your totems. However, AB does not prevent us from hitting with self-cast spells or attacks. It simply prevents you from dealing damage with those critical strikes / hits. So we use Storm Brand to proc EO and the Shade of Solaris 400% inc spell damage buff on bosses or high HP packs and it does so reliably.

Main:
CWDT Def: Movement: Auras/Etc.: As you can see there are a lot of empty links we can use to improvise in various ways. I have run other CWDT setups like phase run and others to supplement the build but it is really up to you. Definitely flexible in gem setups, this is just the mandatory stuff above. For auras we only reserve 50% because the mana cost of the build is quite high. Use enduring cry for longer IC buffs. Stat Priority

Damage Conversion
We can scale damage from any of the previous stages of our conversion due to how the conversion mechanic in PoE works. Mark from GGG has stated that you get the full benefit buffs to a specific type of damage even if the end effect doesn't have that damage type. E.g. 100% converted phys to lightning. If we buff phys it buffs the end result not just that resulting damage. For the rest, obviously stack maximum life wherever. The mana cost is insane for this build so we will require a lot of mana regen as well. For damage: any of the elements you convert to, spell damage, elemental damage, physical damage, area damage, totem damage, minion damage (because of Spiritual Aid). ABSOLUTELY DO NOT INCREASE CRIT CHANCE, you will lose a lot of dps doing this. Last edited by Tjark6#3048 on Mar 1, 2019, 4:08:38 PM Last bumped on Mar 1, 2019, 4:07:32 PM
