Gruthkul's Pelt vs. Shaper/Elder Curse on Hit Rings

Gruthkul's Pelt disables spells, but does this still allow the curse on hit affix on Shaper/Elder rings to function?
It's not technically "you" casting a spell. This mechanic is very confusing. Last bumped on Feb 8, 2019, 12:53:30 PM

Can confirm they apply fine I just went to test it for you, make sure I wasn't giving bogus advice lol
