Introduction
We never have enough fun with Poet's Pen, whose price is going higher each league, even with a new Div card dedicated to make it more accessible. The best mechanism to pair with PP is Indigon,https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2255866but since it's nerf I have been told multiple times it can't live up to the expectation anymore
Now I've made enough currency with my Cold DoT Occultist https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2274340, why not just go normal increased damage coupled with Occultist's ultra survivability? A'ight people let's do this one last time (Spider-Verse)

DPS = 0.16 * 4.5 aps * 4 balls (enchant) = 2m (with Vaal RF)
1/5 of what it could be but acceptable

Build Theory
Offense


Do we still need Poet's Pen mechanism explanation?
Without Indigon restriction, any ES helmet with VD 1 additional corpse gives 33% more damage that you can't miss. With the enchantment you don't want to waste half of main hand triggers on Bodyswap but instead Innervate for shock and some added damage

With Onslaught and the best dual wielding nodes on the tree, we only need a little more attack speed from quality of green gems to cap attack time to 0.24-0.23s depending on the Cooldown Recovery Speed on your belt. Faster Attack is not needed


Defense

The 4 ways of recovery are ES recharge/regen/on hit/on kill
Recharge and regen each comes from an ascendancy. On hit and on kill each comes from Watcher's Eye (icing) and the new flask designed for Volatile Dead

They are more than enough when mapping but in bossing you may sacrifice half of recharge for leech and add Warlord's Mark curse on hit in chest, and even better on an Elder ring

does the " nearby enemies have xx% fire res " really needed? how is it compared to the one without that mod? im kinda tempted to try this build since i just got the enchant on 400+ es helm. thanks

Enchant is everything. You can enter -9% Fire resist in Config tab in POB and see the difference

And actually VD build shouldn't have "nearby enemy" when mapping

Enchant is everything. You can enter -9% Fire resist in Config tab in POB and see the difference

And actually VD build shouldn't have "nearby enemy" when mapping

yeah i wonder that too since u dont rlly stay close to mobs when mapping and its prob unecessary for map bosses. just wanna hear ur opinion about it like for example against guardian and up. anyway ill give this build a try soon as i gather enough currency. got the helm enchant while looking for molten strike for my CI jugg

tbh im pretty lost to what build im gonna play next, the strong point im leaning toward this one is solely because the helmet is an ES base and had the enchant. got 16 ex so far but cant decided yet still looking around for some decent build that might fit my playstyle
dont play this build unless you have 30+ ex to invest into it, tried doing it on 18 and constantly died to uber elder no matter what i tried
