Increasing armor rating on chest

If i found a 5L or 6L rare chest that I want to keep but the main armor stat is really low, is there a way to reroll it? Armor on it is 600 but I was wondering if any of the orbs would change that number.

Yes you can modify armors and amass ~2000 armor if you nail all 3 armor prefixes on a ilvl 72+ glorious plate. However, the better prefixes are 2 armor
Mods (%armor 100% or so, and an additional 300-400 armor quantity), and with the 3rd being a life mod. Followed by the 3 suffixes being 3 excellent (39-45%) element resistances. Except chaos caps at 30%. That is the best you can do. E: and there are a few routes you can go about this. You can feed the chest a ton of chaos orbs, theoretically rerolling it all at once over and over again. Or take the more Controlled and expensive route by scouring it, then using alterations and augmentations until you get the best life roll combine with a resist of your choice. Then you regal it to make it rare and add one stat. If you nail a high armour roll or high 2nd resist, you can opt to exalt adding 1 mod at a time. You have to exalt perfectly three times. So if I want to icrease the base armor on this i can? This is what im using and im getting ass handed to me in merciless. I though a higher armor chest would help. This one has really low armor

Armour s only decent at mitigating small physical attacks. You need a lot of resistances in merciless because there is a -60 resist penalty in merc. Your armour has multiple wasted mods with thorns and life regen. Also it's missing two mods all together. It would behoove you to save about 1-2 exalted and just buy a better armour. Like the one I have for sale :)
