Lol. This is a nerf.
(2-3-2019) Buff underused skills (3.23?!)+ selfcast, stop nerfing defense, build in threshold jewels (3.23?!), implement D3-style looting, add death log + MTX preview, actually rework flasks, stop balancing around the .01%, unnerf Harvest, ADD NEW WAYS TO LEVEL, finally implement Loot 2.0

Hmmm... If we try to use many new gear items we'll all be glass cannons that get one-shotted by white trash mobs. All these new items (such as this ring) look enticing but with no life or crit or anything else but 28% cold res I'm hesitant to ever use this ring.

how does it work with flame totem? or freezing pulse?

At first glance it looks pretty awful—using up a whole ring just for fork or +1 chain!—but if the "cannot pierce" opens the way for chaining Freezing Pulse, or Ball Lightning, or Storm Burst, or Frostbolt . . . may or may not be *good*, but it'd certainly be interesting to see.
