What are the odds of off color socket using master crafter sockets?

Hey all,

I'm wondering what the chances are of off color when using the vorici socket recipe.

Say I have 3 blue socket already on my str item, and I use the recipe to add a 4th socket. What are the odds?

My current line of reasoning is that based on https://siveran.github.io/calc.html

Since I'm only adding one new socket, it seems the odds would be 11.5 attempts avg to get the desired result.

However I'm not certain that this is accurate as the calculator is for chromatics, not jeweller. It's possible both have the same math behind.

actually hes asking about just adding another socket. it'll be coloured, what are the chances of it being an off colour.

i don't see why it would be a difference chance. probably should still be the same chance to be an off colour as rolling all with a chromatic.

that being said, to get 4x off colour for 4L items it is cheaper to craft it via jewelers than chromatics.

@xMustard yeah that's what I figured, but since nothing mentions it I wanted to see if anyone has info to the contrary.

For now I'll assume the vorici calc is accurate for jewellers.
