4K health feels impossible to do uber labs traps?
Is it feasible with my gear and health to run uber lab? Level is about right but man, I keep dying to traps! Izaro almost one shot me.
Any help and input is welcome, even trollish ones! Last bumped on Oct 18, 2018, 11:50:33 AM

Traps damage based on % of your hp it doesn't matter if your hp is 100 it's still going to the same amount.

People do lab with 3K or less life. u need lots of DPS tho so he cant do anything to you.
Otherwise get lighting granite and basalt flask and you can tank him with 4K a few hits anyway until flasks run out so you better have enough DPS for that Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on Oct 18, 2018, 7:33:49 AM

Just remember with the spinny whirr death blades to run toward and through them rather than away.

" With 4k health traps can be trivialized by: - movemant speed. 150% can do. - skilled use of teleporting skills - very high life regain (not your case) - labyrinth layout (with as few traps as possible) First two are easiest to achieve, last one depends on... hell knows who. Probably labs are generated automaticly, pure RNG there. Some other RNG based aspects: - darkshrines enchantment. If you will be lucky, you get speed or bigger lifepool or always crit node. Still, in my opinion your lifepool/DPS ratio is too low. My "personal" milestones are: normal lab - 1200 life, 2000 "tooltip DPS" cruel lab - 2300 life, 4-5k "tooltip DPS" merciless lab - 3300 life 10-15k "tooltip DPS" uber lab - 4200 life at least (preferably 5k), DPS - capable to run maps T12 comfortably, including bossfight. Of course all depends on character and/or chosen ascendancy. The description presented above applies to the ES based character's with very high endgame DPS, like ele hit deadeye or molten strike ascendant. If you choose something more tanky, like juggernaut or champion, you can do uber lab solo on lvl 72. (like I did with my jugs). |

With 4k life, uber Izaro is doable, as long as he doesn't hit you. I think he has a hammer today, so all his attacks are slow and can be avoided. The rest is DPS.

I hit 93 yesterday and so I can now try this out for the first time today. don't have much more health either (well, 1k more).
btw, once I got a speed shrine darkshrine that counted for the entire lab. since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good Last edited by LMTR14#6725 on Oct 18, 2018, 10:05:37 AM

I use high powered life flasks and just ignore traps actually.
I have that minor-god node for life flask refill when you recently not used a flask. So just have em fill between traps. I had:

I always run uber lab with two instant life flasks. Also movement skill is important, with bows it's easy just blink arrow, you can use a low lvl bow in weapon swap regardless of what class you have.
With that low life you have to run around izaro and just attack between his attacks and hope you don't get hit. Also usually it's worth to go for the dark shrines, i like to ones that's lower trap damage and removes the traps for the end fight. |

" ^--- This. Darkshrines can trivialize portions of Uber Lab. A Heal flasks with remove Bleed is good. Other flasks to fill in what vulnerabilities you might have in combat are necessary, too. Movement skills are ideal. One of the best is Flame Dash, since you don't actually touch the ground during the dash. It also allows one to move on the z axis (or "y", whichever GGG uses for elevation), which can instantly get one out a trap situation. Using Flame Dash means you will simply teleport through some traps instead of running through them. Leap Slam is good, too, but can have issues with certain trap configurations and is a targeting attack, so one could end up targeting mobs or a trap mechanism instead, by accident. A classic CWDT setup with Immortal Call is often necessary, too, to help with those unexpected bursts of damage. It's also a "Oh, wow, I should probably not let that happen again" warning light... :) DPS is king for Izaro. That might be difficult as one is progressing, but once one gets the right gear, has their Ascendancies, is a properly built character, survivability and DPS during Uber Izaro should not be a problem. But, yeah - Get those Darkshrines! |
