Continuing our series looking at stats from the Delve leagues, today we're looking at the class breakdown across multiple leagues and delve depths!

We're starting with a look at how the classes break down at various level brackets across all leagues:

Class - Level 70+All Delve Leagues
Elementalist13.37%
Juggernaut9.77%
Pathfinder9.25%
Hierophant8.35%
Necromancer7.58%
Ascendant7.07%
Deadeye5.79%
Guardian5.61%
Saboteur4.66%
Chieftain4.16%
Champion3.60%
Trickster3.34%
Slayer3.20%
Occultist2.97%
Raider2.44%
Assassin2.39%
Inquisitor2.38%
Gladiator2.14%
Berserker1.07%
Witch0.32%
Ranger0.16%
Shadow0.11%
Duelist0.11%
Templar0.10%
Marauder0.06%
Scion0.03%

The Elementalist remains the most popular pick (appropriately at 13.37%!), but the popularity of the next few ascendancies are closer than they've ever been before. While there are clearly unpopular picks, the gap between the most and least popular is smaller than previously.

Class - Level 90+All Delve Leagues
Elementalist15.70%
Juggernaut11.59%
Pathfinder9.14%
Ascendant9.02%
Hierophant7.08%
Deadeye6.87%
Necromancer6.71%
Saboteur5.72%
Guardian4.07%
Occultist3.72%
Champion3.62%
Chieftain3.54%
Trickster2.96%
Slayer2.82%
Gladiator1.93%
Inquisitor1.73%
Raider1.71%
Assassin1.53%
Berserker0.52%
Shadow0.01%
Witch0.00%
Templar0.00%
Ranger0.00%
Marauder0.00%

Above level 90 we see a sharper split begin to form, with the Elementalist and Juggernaut's relative popularity growing, and other classes -- in particular the minion-based Necromancers and Guardians -- falling back.

Class - Level 90+Hardcore Delve leagues - Not Dead
Juggernaut16.37%
Pathfinder9.89%
Necromancer9.45%
Ascendant8.93%
Guardian7.80%
Occultist7.44%
Elementalist7.28%
Saboteur6.38%
Hierophant5.47%
Gladiator3.90%
Deadeye3.74%
Champion3.64%
Trickster3.56%
Chieftain2.25%
Slayer1.73%
Raider0.98%
Inquisitor0.62%
Berserker0.28%
Assassin0.28%

Hardcore clearly diverges from the broader playerbase, with players naturally gravitating towards classes with significant survivability perks (though, it should be noted, that since this list includes only living Hardcore characters, the list naturally emphasizes tankier Ascendancies). Here, the Elementalist slips down to 7th place. Unsurprisingly, the squishy Berserker and Assassin Ascendancies do not make strong appearances.

Class - Level 90+SSF Delve Leagues
Elementalist14.89%
Pathfinder12.62%
Hierophant9.91%
Necromancer8.75%
Saboteur8.05%
Juggernaut7.48%
Trickster5.88%
Chieftain4.99%
Guardian4.49%
Ascendant4.14%
Occultist3.87%
Champion3.24%
Gladiator3.18%
Deadeye2.38%
Slayer1.79%
Raider1.33%
Inquisitor1.27%
Assassin1.12%
Berserker0.61%
Templar0.01%

With trade out of the question, the weapon-dependent Juggernaut's popularity drops significantly, while the more self-sufficient Saboteur leaps up the ladder.

Now, let's look at how the classes performed in Niko's mine!

Class - Level 90+Delve Depth 300+
Elementalist15.98%
Juggernaut12.19%
Ascendant10.86%
Pathfinder9.48%
Deadeye7.21%
Hierophant5.84%
Necromancer5.54%
Saboteur5.49%
Occultist4.40%
Champion3.52%
Guardian3.46%
Chieftain3.45%
Trickster2.57%
Slayer2.48%
Inquisitor2.05%
Gladiator1.86%
Raider1.59%
Assassin1.54%
Berserker0.48%
Scion>0.00%
Ranger0.00%
Templar0.00%
Marauder0.00%

Across all league types, the class breakdown for characters that have completed delves at depth 300 or deeper resembles the broader population breakdown. Not hugely surprising per se...

Class - Level 90+Hardcore Not Dead - Delve Depth 300+
Juggernaut16.13%
Occultist11.86%
Ascendant11.74%
Pathfinder8.95%
Necromancer8.78%
Guardian8.44%
Saboteur6.90%
Elementalist6.33%
Gladiator4.50%
Hierophant3.71%
Champion3.59%
Trickster2.85%
Slayer1.82%
Chieftain1.71%
Deadeye1.20%
Inquisitor0.80%
Raider0.46%
Berserker0.11%
Assassin0.11%

Likewise for the Hardcore Delve character breakdown for characters that have cleared depth 300 or deeper, the ladder resembles the broader population.

However, let's take a look at the class breakdown across all leagues for characters that have cleared depth 600:

Class - Level 90+Delve Depth 600+
Pathfinder21.00%
Ascendant17.42%
Juggernaut11.63%
Elementalist10.27%
Occultist9.55%
Deadeye7.47%
Saboteur7.19%
Hierophant3.71%
Champion1.95%
Guardian1.63%
Necromancer1.45%
Gladiator1.31%
Trickster1.27%
Inquisitor1.13%
Chieftain1.00%
Slayer0.68%
Raider0.59%
Assassin0.45%
Berserker0.32%

The class proportions of characters that have cleared depth 600 is much more similar to the class proportions for Hardcore characters at half that depth than the broader population. This shows that, at extreme depths, the priorities for Standard characters converge with those of Hardcore characters. In other words, the most important thing for making it at these super deep levels is simply not dying.

We also have stats for characters that have made it below depth 600 in Delve Hardcore and are still alive. All 6 of them (as of time of writing)! With so few players making it this deep while still alive, any numbers we give will rapidly become out of date. Suffice to say, it is no simple task to make it this deep without dying. We invite you to see the ladders yourself to see which classes are coming out on top!

This week stats are boring, to be honest, and the formatting makes it uncomfortable to read.
The Bother progress: 11%

You don't even imagine how much harm you've caused. I'm not sure I'll live long enough to finish "The Bother". You're one of my murderers. You will never get my forgiveness unless you make up for what you've done.
Interesting! I Loved the league!
So, any buff to the Berserker in the next patch?
Embrace the vaal and the corruption! Only then, you will be bless by Atziri. That's how I got a Headhunter in the Atziri Apex of Sacrifice!
I just want to know what deadeye builds crossed 600.
Cool
would love to see zerker buff like remove the degen and give us attack + spell leech back <3

The Inquisitor is quite unpopular, having so much fun with the ele-no-pants this league around.

Guess melee grandpa has gone underrated.
