Increased Critical Strikes and Increased Critical Damage

Increased Critical Strikes and Increased Critical Damage, these two gems are quite weak if compare them with some other gems that have 40~50% more damage.

The fact that you're saying they're weak compared to 40% more shows you don't actually know the places they do have equivalent power to 40% more and then some. Full_Syntec is laughing because it actually is ridiculous to think that these gems need to be combined to achieve comparable power to other supports.
That doesn't mean they couldn't use tweaks of course, but combining them would make them absolutely insane and should not be done if the goal is rough support balance. |

" This is not true.   You get very high more damage boost only in the situation that you have low crit. strike chance or low crit. multiplier from other sources. Unfortunately, in most case, if you use diamond flask, it will decrease your more damage boost from ICS and ICD combined gem. |

if anything it shows that:
a) these gems have their uses. you named them - to boost low base crit setups b) they still work (albeit not that well) in high base crit/high crit investment setups (not that you need them then - the damage is already OBSCENE. utility gems are far better value in such setups) c) crit needs a SERIOUS nerf in general. these numbers make going non crit an idiots choice (esp with Lyco and other sources of 'always hit' - meaning that accuracy is no longer a 5%+ crit reduction check) |

" Huh, someone actually using numbers to back up the claim. I'm unfortunately surprised. Why didn't you do this at the very start though? Then the actual discussion could have started sooner since you can be sure more people are going to have a bare minimum amount of data to work with.
