Returning to town from Blood Aqueduct using a portal always goes to Sarn

Hello. I've been running The Blood Aqueduct zone in Act 9 from Highgate. Every time I fill up my inventory and need to return to town (usually after an incursion run) I'm taken to The Sarn Encampment in act 8 instead of Highgate in act 9 where I'm teleporting in from. If I exit to the character selection screen and pick the same exile I do go to Highgate. But not if I teleport to town from the aqueduct.

Yes, that's how it works. A portal from the first zone of an act before reaching that act's town will put you in the town of the previous act; so that you can't use this method to skip ahead in the progression.
It has always worked like this for all act areas; aside from a short period after the release of Fall of Oriath when it was bugged (specifically for Blood Aqueduct - maybe this is what you are remembering). |
