Alva as a new Master
It might be time for a new crafting master to arrive in PoE and Alva can be the great addition everybody is waiting for.
Her theme is currency. Her workbench is a simple currency exchanger, removing trips to any town in late game when you need to change a bunch of currency for crafting. She sells special offers for currency items. Never as much as the currency trades of other masters, but better than selling. At high ranks you might get some offers for rare currency you normally cannot buy, which would be especially great for SSF players. Her hideout is a one two three room temple (an abandoned site, but some parts are still usable), with vaal/temple themed decoration items. You can find Alva at the start of Act 7 or 8, searching for the hidden temple now that the beast is gone. Her daily missions are – surprise – incursions. This means, if you like temple runs, you can do a temple at least every 11 days. You level her just by doing the excursion, but you might get bonus XP for killing an architect or opening a passage. Why add her as a master? The temple is quite fun, but 11 incursions is a huge amount in order to trigger a temple run and less won't make a nice run for the lack of upgraded rooms. As a master with one guaranteed incursion per day, you can keep the number while even casual players get the chance to do temples – even if they are very unlucky in finding her. As a treasure hunter she offers currency, which supports SSF players who struggle to find a certain currency. Because her offers are limited per day, trading players will still rather get bigger amounts from other players. Her crafting bench is mainly a convenience item, removing the need to travel to a town for currency changing. Last bumped on Aug 13, 2018, 10:16:28 PM

" This reaction aside, the suggestion is not without merit. The art team put so much work into designing the temple interior, past and present both, that it would be a shame for it all to be consigned to the proverbial dustbin. So what else could Alva sell aside from currency? It would not be unreasonable for her shop to include various Incursion-themed items (magic, rare, and - at level 8 - legendary), following the example set by the others. Aside from those, each master also sells items with a mod unique to them - what would hers be? White Knight of the Order of Mihoshi Enthusiasts

" ALL of the current ones. Plus: The Architect (Alvi). But with one mission available per hour, not day (i.e. you can run two temples a day if you're masochistic enough). The Peddler. Always offers one-for-five items, so long as they're all the same type/rarity. For white items, one tier higher (similar to pots, now). For blues, the highest tier affix from each item and randomly applies those to the replacement item. Same for yellows, but could be anywhere from three to six selected and applied randomly. For uniques (at tier 8) two options: 5-for-1 random, but no lower than ten levels below the lowest tier item (so 5 minimum-level 50 items would produce a random item, but no lower than minimum-level 40 and no higher than 60). 7-for-1 of an identical unique will produce the same unique, but with all rolls being a tier better. Typical daily mission would be to procure - from normal play, not a specialized instance, 5 identical items of the same type (all axes) or specific (all jade axes). The Master Jeweler who does the same as the peddler, but only with Jewels. Typical daily mission would be to acquire certain crafting components she needs - gems, jewels, azurite, or what-have-you. Patch Notes 3.15: Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive. Patch Notes 3.19: Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment. Last edited by BlaqWolf#1151 on Aug 13, 2018, 11:17:18 PM
