Some shields look weird...

Hi, overall I think that the artists behind PoE did a very good job so far, but when I look at some of the shields in the highest tiers I can't help but shudder. If you don't know what I am talking about have a look at this link (scroll to the very bottom of the page):

I am talking about the door-like shields, shields that actually look like this:



I have never seen a shield like that before, if the artists had in mind a tower shield, then they should better use this as a reference:



I also don't like the shields that look like they have been taken from some old monument, I am talking about stuff that looks like this:



There are so many great examples of large shields to be used as models for the higher tiers, even large round shields could be used for higher protection, not just square frames, and we shouldn't forget the large kyte shields, please have a look at these examples:











In summary, I really hope to see some better shields for the highest tiers in the future, because I don't want my character to be forced to carry around a door or a piece of concrete! :P
Of course I am not asking to trow away those ugly shields, I understand that to make all the related animations must have been a lot of work, but at least make some cooler stuff for the higher levels and for Act 3.

They look like doors and wall panels because that's what they are :P Previously, there were shields named "door shield" and "wall shield" because they were meant to be shields made out of salvaged wood from doors and walls.

The names have changed; maybe the art will, too.

And different material shields would be awesome also -
Not all of them has to be Wooden / Metallic and come at square or round shapes.... **** Thinks bout a few of the TESV Skyrim shields .... Glass / Ebony / & Daedric artifact shield.... *** Drools**

isn't that copyright. They only need to change metallic to steel iron bronze....

he probably means the way they look, not the names of the shields

Basically Yeah I meant the looks / shapes and more materials than wood and metal , maybe some D2 like adjectives as well like superior , lesser and such that decide if the shield is better or worse. like a worn shield would look more rusty of have a few bumps or tears here and there depending on the material. and not it's not copyright infringement since I'm not asking to copy the shield 1 on 1 from there to here or anything alike just to be more creative. Ofcourse that that idea isn't necessarily apply just to shields, Could be used on any item.
