Behavior of Witchfire Brew with aura?

What happen when character run despair aura and activate Witchfire brew ?
Does aura level matter ? Does 1 replace the other ? I wonder because I would like to use Witchfire brew for the damage overtime and not have to deal with it's aura. Last bumped on Apr 30, 2018, 1:22:06 PM

The higher level curse is applied to the enemies.

" Thank you for your reply and that is somewhat terrible as I expected... Let's say I ran lvl 21 despair and use Witchfire, would my skill gem curse take priority or the Witchfire ? Here is my dilemma... a) The boost related to AoE and Curses dont apply to flask b) Despair on bottle has no quality and I plan to use Enhance. (44 total quality) This result in c) c) I want to use Witchfire increased damage overtime without losing all the benefit of my skillgem curse. Any way to do this ? |

" I believe if gem and flask skill lvl are equal skill gem takes priority but I am not sure. For sure a lvl 22 despair would override the flask despair but lvl 21 is questionable. From quick research before I post, it looks like it has to be over the flask level to take priority I think. I will look more. "It's all clearer now
