Simple PoE Gear Comparison For Upgrading
Hello fellow exiles. I just recently started PoE, but the addiction is real. Two weeks, over 100 hours... Yep. Anyway, I have been working on a couple Google Sheets to help with the experience of gearing my characters since this stuff is hard for me to keep track of in my head and I'm pretty happy with one of them so far and the other is solidly in the works, just working on some scripting.
The sheet I'll be linking below is to help with the process of upgrading gear. I recently needed to change out 5 pieces of equipment and make sure that I was maintaining certain stats and upgrading others. This sheet made it super simple for me. I entered the stats of my currently equipped items in the first section which totaled each stat for all equipment and as I found items I was interested in buying I would enter their stats into the second section, returning a total per stat, whether the stat on the new pieces of equipment were higher than on the current pieces, and the difference between the two totals(helpful for making sure you hit a certain value, say to cap resists). It's pretty simple and fairly self-explanatory for the most part, but I do have an "instructions" column which I recommend hiding after reading through it once. There are two tabs to the Sheet, so make sure to look at both for all gear. I just thought it got a bit clustered with all 9 pieces of equipment on one tab. I left plenty(25 maybe?) of "blank" columns for the user to fill in whatever stats they want to compare. Columns A(and of course A should be hidden after reading anyway) and B are frozen so horizontal scrolling through user-filled stats won't be confusing. The link is to a comment-only version of the sheet, so to be able to use it, you must File > Make A Copy to be able to edit the sheet and input your equipment's stats. If you see mistakes in spelling or some formulas bugged out or just have a suggestion, feel free to comment on the original version through the link to let me know, or reply to this thread. There are probably already things like this online considering the age of the game. I'm not sure, didn't look. But here's my version of it. Hopefully it will help at least one person. I have a strong feeling that Path of Building doing that better.

That's certainly possibly. Likely even. But I thought that PoB only did one set so nothing to compare to? I'm not sure, I only opened PoB a couple times. And it's a third-party app. Maybe someone just wants to do it in browser.

The thing with pob that trumps anything else out there is the import of existing characters, being able to save and reaload setups easily, and having all the item bases and uniques easy to set up in the gear, and seeing the best supports for setups too.
It takes a little bit of use with it to get used to it but its very useful once you work out how to use the other stuff on it along side the passive tree |

Yeah, it sounds like I'll have to mess around with PoB a little more. I guess I never realized exactly what it could do. this was a fun little side project, though. Lol. And I can use it at work, not so much with PoB. Good for the bad employees like me.

This is off topic. Im still new to poe. But what is the likely final result if you have a magic or rare item with the base stats of armour: 92 and evasion rating: 84. What will those raise to after you upgrade it to rare and get all affixes and quality up to 20% ? Is there a calculation for that ? Its hard to tell what will be better than what i currently have on thats at 20% quality as far as those two stats go
