Stuck in tutorial twilight strand area

Ive gotten to the end of the beach, where the chest is and did the support gem tutorial, but theres a red energy wall blocking the exit. I am not getting any more tutorial popups and i cant do anything to the energy wall. There are no more enemies present.
What am i supposed to do here? The game wont allow me to use global chat or whispers so i cant ask for help either. Last bumped on Mar 22, 2018, 4:54:56 PM

Have you actually put the support gem in a socket linked to your main attack skill?

I accidentally put the fireball in my plate armor and the game wouldnt let me put the support gem in my wand so they are in two different items now. The weird thing is i tried to put the fireball gem in the wand at first but the game wouldnt let me, and it kept highlighting the plate armor so i ended up putting the fireball gem in my plate armor instead.
Im guessing the devs did not account for this in the tutorial... |

Yeah, the active gem and the support gems need to be in two sockets that are linked together to affect each other. So having them in two different items won't work.
