So how do you add additional mods to jewels?

Say one drops, with 1 mod, has a max of 4. How do you add more?

I regald one, got another stat but now its at 2, and I'm assuming it's ruined now?

augment first, then regal if it has good affixes.

After regal you can gamble with exalting your top jewels.

Another method is to chaos/alch/scour spam jewels and hope for 4 mods with synergies.

i personally have crafted thousands of jewels and prefer transmute/alt/augment/regal/exalt path.

If its magic (blue) use an orb of augmentation to add another mod.
Regal it afterwards, if the rolls are good enough, to make the item rare (yellow) and add an additional mod.

At this point you have to use an exalted orb to add the fourth possible mods, which is way too risky and expensive for most folks ^^

You could also use an orb of scouring to remove all mods (white item) and then use either orb of transmutation (magic), orb of alchemy (rare and possibly 4 mods) or an orb of chance (could turn into magic, rare or unique)

Cheers
Yeah it was 6% max life and 15% minion damage. IDK why I hit regal.. oh well it added the minion damage and it sold for 20c, could have been double potentially but at least it's 20c I didn't have.
