[3.2] The Golementalist, 7 golems, 6 flame, 1 Stone, Blood Magic

With the improvements to the golem nodes in the Elementalist Ascendancy, I thought I would try give it a try:
The Golementalist.

Overview:
Spoiler

Who is this build for?
This build is for those who want to run thru maps without pushing many buttons.
You can go deep into mapping with this build.
It probably does not have enough defenses to do t16, end game bosses, etc. but who knows?

This build specializes in minimal buttons to push.
Run around casting nothing, quaffing quicksilvers to move quickly.
Plop down a totem on bosses or hard yellow mobs.
Buff with flesh offering as needed.
Monsters die in a hail of golem fireballs.

This build uses no curses, just arc totem to proc Elemental Equilibruim.

This build is Blood Magic, but I am sure a mana variant is possible with MoM.

Only 4 tree points are invested in minion nodes.
Everything else is put into jewel slots, life, and life regen.

Theorycrafing:
Spoiler

With 7 golems possible in the new Elementalist Ascendency, and running 5 Primordial Harmonies, it makes sense to have more than one golem type. Adding a second golem type adds 100% increased golem damage to all golems, (assuming 20% harmonies.) I mathed it out, and having 1 stone golem out makes the 6 remaining flame golems do slightly more damage than 7 flame golems would on their own.

Math:
Spoiler

With 7 flame golems, there is approx 300% golem damage bonus, 7 x 4 = 28
With 6 flame golems and a stone golem, there is approx 400% golem damage bonus, 6x5= 30
30 > 28

And you get the Stone Golem dps for free on top, AND....AND...AND you get Stone Golem Life regen, with a 175% boost from ascendency. A level 21 golem gem, in a +2 minion helm, with a level 4 empower, (I dont have all this yet, but i can dream.) gives 139 life regen, with 175% bonus thats 382.25 life per second, a very non trivial amount of life regen.

Progress Reports:
Spoiler

Level 92 Report:
Spoiler

I liked my Golementalist so much that I retasked an existing level 92 Witch I had.
Now at 92, my new Golementalist has 6.7k life, 1200 life regen.

Now I need to save up currency to buy a +1 gems Belly.

I made some changes suggested by Tomay.
Added one Jewel Socket at the cost of 3 skill points.
Put a Primordial Eminence into the new slot.
Removed 2 two skill points from the Herd of the Flock minion cluster.
Thanks for the ideas Tomay!

Level 80 Report:
Spoiler

Level 80, 5.2k life, 977 life regen, still no deaths.
I put 2 extra points into resists, not shown on the tree below, as it let me over cap my resists for elemental weakness maps.
Other than the Skin of the Loyal, I am only using gear I already had in stash. (Gotta love standard.)
Some of the gear I am using has Strength on it, if those were resists, I would not need those 2 points to over cap.

Doing tier 8 maps, trash still dies instantly, bosses in 5-15 seconds depending on range to golems.
(Flame golem long range attack, fireball, does WAY more damage than their medium and short range abilities.)

Some of my other stats, if you are curious
Spoiler

Armor 1340
Evasion 2597
3% chance to dodge
15% block
Fire res 118
Cold res 112
Light res 129
Chaos res 62
Movement speed 52
100 chance to avoid ignite

Level 77 Report:
Spoiler

Level 77, passed the 5k life barrier, have 889 life regen, still zero deaths.
Still running tier 7 maps, as I am slowing using my legacy maps. Will move on to tier 8 when I run out of tier 7. Dps is still insane, even though my flame golem gem is only level 19. Still subject to one shotting, although that has not happened yet, it has been close. Anything that does not one shot me, I heal up real quick, between life regen and life flasks.

I managed to find a cheap (for standard) Skin of the Loyal, for 80 chaos. Am using it now.

Level 74 Report
Spoiler
level 74, has 4.8k life, 806 life regen, and zero deaths.
I have been running him thru tier 7 maps with ease, waiting for more levels before going to red tier maps.

Defenses:
Spoiler

None really.
This build depends on running in circles during hard fights and having a TON of life regen.
The stone golem will taunt stuff, and the life pool is decently large.
The cast when damage taken set up does give us phase run, which is HUGE in a build that does not cast, 80% for attacks to miss while its on!

Unique items:
Spoiler

2 x

You don't need a +1 gem chest, but it helps a lot.
Any +1 gem chest will do.
You can easily run in a vanilla Tabula until you can afford some sort of +1 gem chest.

Other Gear:
Spoiler

Get a rare +2 minion helm.
Everything else is also rare.
You will need some dex on your items, as the tree does not have enough.
Life and resists, life and resists.

Here is my rare gear at level 74:

Jewels:

Level 82 tree:

Auras:
Spoiler

Haste, in the Essence Worm ring.

Bandits:
Spoiler

Kraitlyn for the 6% move speed.

Pantheon:
Spoiler

Whatever your favorite is.
The build does not depend on any particular pantheon choice.
Currently I am using Soul of Arakali for reduced damage over time. (I hate bleeding)
And Soul of Ryslatha for the life flask charges.

Gem Links:
Spoiler

In chest
Flame Golem, Minion Damage, GMP/LMP, Fire Penetration, Spell Echo, Empower
(Controlled Destruction can be used in place of Fire Penetration.)

In +2 minion Helm
Stone Golem, Minion Totem Resistances, Minion Damage, Empower

The rest can go where ever, with several slots left over for your favorite movement skill and favorite Vaal setup.
Cast When Damage Taken (1), Immortal Call (1), Phase run (1), Increased Duration

Spell Totem, Arc
Flesh Offering, Increased Duration
Convocation (1)
Descecrate (1)

Flasks:
Spoiler

I use 2 life flasks, 2 quicksilver flasks, and a defensive flask.

Well, I am in standard, so I have a stash tab of leveling junk.
I leveled with srs and zombies.

But as the above poster indicated, getting to level 34 is not that hard, just have to make it to the start of act 4.

Since this build requires anima stone and reccomends having a primordial might, it is not really a league starter build.

So, buy a vanilla tabula rasa, and level up any old way to 34.
Kraityn's cast/attack/movement speed bonus doesn't apply to minions. Wouldn't it be better to grab the two passives?

This build is focused on running, running, running.
I will gladly give 2 points up for 6% run speed.
If there were a 3% run speed node my tree path was next to, I would take it.

If somebody else copies my build and prefers 2 points to 6% run speed, then that's great.
It's not critical either way.

Also, this build gets all its important stuff by level 83, with kraitln, so its not like some builds that are skill point starved.
I see your point... what about Flammability?

And another jewel socket isn't too far off either (4 passives from BM). How about throwing in an Emminence (30% effect, cast speed)?

Trash dies so fast, no need for a curse.
Bosses have a huge resistance for curses, so it does not do much.
(Also lets you laugh when you roll hexproof on a map.)
But if you want to, you can add it to the build. There are free gem slots.

After level 83 you can take 5% life nodes, or go for another jewel socket, its up to personal choice.

I am not there yet, so I cant tell for sure, but right now, the dps is OVERWHELMING, and my flame golem gem is only level 19.
So I am more concerned with surviving one shots then getting more dps, so I plan on 5% life nodes.

But the option is there to up dps with Lord of the Dead node, or jewel sockets or what not.

Love the idea.

Have you done this up in POB?

I'm aware of reduced curse effectiveness with bosses.

So what about casting your EE trigger skill manually and use a Scorching Ray totem for another 24% reduced fire resistance?
