How much DPS is enough DPS

Hi guys, the other day I was playing and daydreaming a little bit with PoB and this cuestion popped into my head:

How much Shaper DPS would you say is enough DPS? Considering a build that can almost facetank Shaper, i.e. I don't have to constantly move and "lose" DPS.

I mean, I know that there's builds with 5kk DPS, (because Barrage with 999 projectiles, that's why), but then you have some melee builds or some casters with 300k DPS. So, what's the minimum, where's the DPS floor for Shaper?

In your opinion, of course.

I believe 500k is considered 'comfortable' for shaper.

You can def do it with less depending on your build and your skill at the fight.

As dps goes up, the amount of skill required and risk of failure will go down.

At 500,000 you should be fairly experienced at fighting shaper especially if you have a skill that needs to be namelocked.

At 1,000,000 it should be fairly reliable to do him fairly reliably without death.

At 2,500,000 dps you will generally push him to the next phase anytime he uses his golden beam cannon so there will be little chance to mess up.

It isn't a bad idea to constantly move, even when you can almost facetank him.
Just wait for the crazy big beam, and then DpS him.

I'd say 500k DpS (Shaper in PoB) is fine.
But don't cheat yourself and click random nonsense in PoB that you don't even have. ;)

If you have good recovery, few hundred k is fine. If you wanna burst him down on a glass cannon, I'd say closer to a million or upwards.

Btw tooltip dps doesn´t show you real power. You need to use some utility such as path of building skill planner and such.

Yes, I know that. I'm always looking at the total DPS for Shaper/Guardians in PoB.
