chance to Freeze, Shock and Ignite and Brutality support gem

Does #% chance to Freeze, Shock and Ignite if you haven't crit recently enchant on boots work with Brutality support gem?
I use them with Warchief, but I have never seen them proc. Last bumped on Jan 7, 2018, 12:13:46 PM

You need to deal the respective elemental damage to achieve a freeze, shock, ignite. Since brutality removes that, you are unable to do elemental effects based on the hit.

If you're using Starforge (or Soul Taker, maybe), you are able to cause ailments with physical damage. +chance to shock works perfectly well with Starforge, if I'm not mistaken. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
