Ashen Wood Elder didn't drop any loot and won't leave map (463,556,929 & 4,284,632,220)

Just had my first elder fight on Ashen Wood and when I defeated the Elder, I got the challenge but the elder dropped no loot whatsoever. :(

Further to the above, I noticed that even though the challenge did register, the elder is still on the atlas (still on Ashen Wood) after the fight.
I have just tried running the map again, but once again, no loot was dropped and the elder remains on Ashen Wood. (Bug # 4,284,632,220)  |

A lot of us are having similar problems, if you scroll down there's plenty of posts about it. So far we haven't heard anything from GGG thou, or any way to un-bug it on our own. Sucks, I was enjoying the hunting down Elder for loot part.

A guild mate actually pointed out what happened.
So essentially there is a "hidden" mechanic that requires you to complete the fight with the same character that opened the map instance. In my case, I was farming with my Spectre Necro but kept dying in the elder fight so I swapped to my Zerker and killed the elder on that. So what I had to do to get loot and completion is: Open map on my zerker, don't switch characters, defeat elder with the zerker. Sucks that this isn't documented anywhere as I wasted a whole bunch of maps on this and lost a lot of XP :/ |
