Potions in placement, cannot put back to inventory

If i choose to equip a potion, and place it in a slot with a potion i end up with one on the cursor, before you could press b to put back into your inventory, its not possible anymore, only x for discard or a to place. Discard in town kinda sucks.

As soon i am back near my stash i will try to replicate, but i could definitely not scroll down, tried closing, opening stash, just inv etc, i could not.

This is my inventory, and i cannot go down with my cursor to my inventory with the left stick.

I just had the idea, if i might pick it up just with y it could work, but as soon i enter the green highlighted potion area, i cannot leave with my cursor. Btw its xbox one x, maybe it makes a difference in some way.

I tried here with open stash, on normal stashtabs i cannot leave the area to the right side, but if there is a special slot like in essence or currency, i can go into that special item slot and even move up and down in it. With this i somehow can manage to get into my inventory, but from the potions up down left is definitely not possible for me. Maybe the screenshot of the weird position in the essence slot gives some clue what went wrong internally.
